Mr Benoit Bessette

Mr. Bessette earned his Bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Sherbrooke in 2011, and his MBA – Master’s Degree in Sports Management in 2013 from the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea (Spain). Mr. Bessette attended the European Private Law Summer Program of Salzburg University (Austria) in 2012 and the International School of Young Entrepreneurs (Tunisia) in 2013.

Since he was called to the Québec Bar Association in 2019, he is both a barrister and solicitor in immigration law and a member of the Québec Association of Immigration Lawyers (AQAADI) and of the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers (CARL).

In 2019 Mr. Bessette worked abroad as the Legal and Institutional Manager for the Local Organizing Committee of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France. Prior to this, he worked for international sporting events, namely the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games in Mexico, the Toronto 2015 Pan-Am Games, the EURO Cup in France (2016), and five IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships. He worked for the Olympic Games in Sochi (2014), Rio de Janeiro (2016), PyeongChang (2018), Tokyo 2020, and Beijing 2022 as well.
